They are particularly useful in a dynamic note-taking system, where notes are constantly evolving and the digital garden is constantly growing. >[!Tip] >Action tags are optional. Don't flood your digital garden with 'TODOs' that you can't keep up with. The reality is that we don't always have big blocks of time when concentration is needed: interruptions from emergencies, scheduled events, important ad-hoc activities, etc. These activities shift our attention and we may forget where we were before them. Thus I take a do-it-later approach on note taking. Whenever there is an activity, I create a checkpoint with the actions I want to take on the note I'm working on using action tags inline.
